RAC SCHEME

Over eight hundred vehicles, owned by the families of ARNO members, are covered by the RAC Motoring Service.

The scheme offers three main levels of vehicle based breakdown cover to our members at the costs below. Schemes to cover a range of other vehicles including motor bikes, motorhomes and Classic Cars are now also available.

* All prices quoted are per vehicle for annual cover and are inclusive of Insurance Premium Tax (IPT)

The scheme is booked and purchased through ARNO.

Members should contact the office directly with the following details:

• Name/ARNO Membership number
• Level of cover required
• Registration number, make and model

RAC cover can begin at any time of the year.

You have the right to cancel your Policy within 14 days either from the day of purchase or renewal of the Policy or the day on which you receive your Policy documentation, whichever is later. Provided service under the policy has not been provided by RAC.

If you cancel the cover after 14 days, no refund or credit will be applied.

The ARNO scheme is vehicle-based so, any driver of a registered vehicle may call for assistance; it does not entitle cover on any other vehicle. However, members who own more than one vehicle or regularly travel in another vehicle may cover more than one (to be paid for individually).

To help welcome members aboard, we would also be happy to preload any ARNO member’s Rag Card with £650, once the £900 joining fee and 1st year’s subscription have been paid. Our standard rate is £1,110 for members aged 35-74, with a reduced rate available for those outside this age range and overseas. ARNO ID card

ARNO ID Cards are available as polyvinyl chloride acetate cards (similar to credit cards) including an ARNO hologram and watermark.

These cards assist with proof of identity to help retired officers take advantage of service facilities when available.

To apply please provide surnames, forenames, rank and full face photograph and post to ARNO HQ. Please also enclose payment of £5 to cover production and mailing costs. Email is preferable and we can also take payment via direct debit.
