BRNC Tour and Dinner

Posted on Friday 19 October 2018

On the 19th October 57 ARNO members and guests enjoyed a tour of the beautiful Britannia Royal Naval College in Dartmouth.

The tour, hosted by Lieutenant Commander Nicola Cullen, was a delightful insight into the history of the College and those who have passed through its doors. On completion members enjoyed pre-dinner drinks before taking their seats in the Wardroom for a superb meal and engaging conversation.

Chairman, Surgeon Commodore Jim Sykes, concluded the evening with a short speech and toasts.  These included The Immortal Memory, the traditional toast to Admiral Lord Nelson, whose leadership ensured a British victory against the combined Spanish-Franco fleet at Battle of Trafalgar and Britain’s supremacy on the world’s oceans for next 100 years.
