ARNO RNOC Support Guide Launch

Posted on Monday 16 July 2018

On a hot July day, against the backdrop of HMS BELFAST, The Association of Royal Navy Officers and Royal Navy Officers’ Charity launched the ARNO RNOC Support Guide. The launch of the guide is timed to coincide with the launch of the new joint ARNO/RNOC website.

The guide contains a wealth of information regarding support and assistance covering a plethora of topics from housing, finances, family, wellbeing, bereavement and, general support.

Aimed primarily for members and beneficiaries who may not have access to the internet or find navigating information online difficult the easy to read booklet aims to make information readily available should it be needed.

The guide would not have been possible without out an extremely generous grant from the British Forces Broadcasting Service’s (BFBS) Big Salute scheme. As part of the launch Natasha from BFBS interviewed our CEO, Commander Mike Goldthorpe and willing ARNO volunteers Commander Jon Lane and Lieutenant Michael Vining-Wilson about what this booklet means to them and the impact it will have in providing support to others.

Selected members can expect to receive a copy of the Support Guide with their Summer 2018 Newsletter. Copies can also be obtained via request. In addition all information contained within the booklet and more can be found on our website at the following address, https://www.arno.org.uk/rnoc/support/
