Rear Admiral Mike Kimmons CB Joins Board of Trustees

Posted on Tuesday 26 May 2020

We are very glad to welcome Rear Admiral Mike Kimmons CB to the Board of Trustees.

Mike is delighted to have been co-opted as a Trustee of RNOC/ARNO: charities and membership organisations have never been more important and deserving of strong support this century than they are now.  He looks forward to the exciting opportunity of giving something back, helping both RNOC and ARNO to develop and grow in meeting the needs of today’s and future generations of beneficiaries and members.

Mike’s career in the Royal Navy spanned 36 years.  He served around the world as a logistics officer in frigates, aircraft carriers and the Royal Yacht, plus 12 years in the Ministry of Defence focused on policy, strategy, resources and change management.  His last RN role was as the Fleet’s Chief of Staff Personnel and Support, and Chief Naval Logistics Officer.  Mike then became CEO of a large medical association, charged with turning around an organisation in significant decline.  Having achieved this, he opted for quality of life, more time with his wife Sue in West Sussex, and an increased focus on charitable activity.  A Trustee of the Victory Services’ Club since 2008, he has served as its Chair from March 2016 and steps down in July 2020.
