The UK has left the EU and Freedom of Movement has ended – what does this mean for UK nationals visiting or moving to Europe? Jason Porter, Business Development Director of Blevins Franks Wealth Management is our Guest Speaker this month – join us on Thursday 18 February at 1900 – you can book your place here.
The presentation will deal with those people who visit the EU after the end of the transitional period on 31 December, compared to the position prior to this date. It will also seek to explain the difference in requirements and rules between those UK nationals who moved to Europe before and after the UK benefited from EU membership.
Jason Porter has an Honours Degree in History and Politics, and is a Chartered Tax Adviser and qualified Financial Adviser. He trained at Ernst & Young, and spent a number of years at Coutts Private Bank, dealing with some of the most wealthy and interesting people in the UK. It as at Coutts he realised the need for ‘joined-up’ advice, across both the tax and financial planning spectrum, adding the UK’s financial planning qualifications in 1999.
After an interesting sideways move for five years into media, Jason joined Credit Suisse Private Bank as a Director in 2007, providing wealth planning advice to ultra-high net worth clients. He joined Blevins Frank Management Limited in February 2014, as a Director in the UK.
