SERVICE ASSOCIATIONS

The White Ensign Association

Set up over forty years ago by Lord Mountbatten to provide help and advice to all RN/RM and RNR/RMR personnel and their families. It is a source of free and unbiased help on all matters of personal finance. Should you have concerns over savings, investments, loans, pensions, house purchase or debt you should feel free to discuss your problems with someone from the Association. They are not in the business of selling anything. They are a charity dedicated to providing advice and help on many of the matters that come out of running a home and family.

UK National Defence Association

To campaign for sufficient, appropriate and fully funded Armed Forces that the United Kingdom needs to defend effectively this Country, its people, their vital interests and security at home and throughout the world.

Association of Wrens

The Association for those who served in the WRNS, the RN, WRNVR/WRNR/VAD or the QARNNS, and those currently serving in the RN and RNR. Established in 1920 to ensure that service friendships and camaraderie would continue.

Fleet Air Arm Officers Association

The Association is open to those officers who hold, or who have held a commission in the RN/RNVR/RNR/RNAS/WRNS/WRNR and other armed services, providing that such officers have been connected with or have shown particular interest in the work of the Fleet Air Arm.

Minewarfare and Clearance Divers Association

The Minewarfare & Clearance Diving Officers' Association (MCDOA) was established in 1991 to perpetuate the ésprit de corps of the RN MCD Branch and to monitor the welfare of its members. It now has over 300 serving and retired members worldwide. The MCDOA website contains interesting news and pictures of current Royal Navy minewarfare and clearance diving activity and social events plus members' stories and historical information about the development of the MW & CD branches and their historical alma mater HMS Vernon.

The Britannia Association
The Association has been formed to meet a perceived need (backed by informal market research) for the alumni who have served either as members of the wardroom status staff or undergone training at the Britannia Royal Naval College to be able to be linked, through having an Association. In effect it will represent the provision of a network of the 'alumni' of the College over the last 90 years and will extend onwards into the future. Membership is intended to be as 'inclusive' as possible

CLUBS

The The Army and Navy Club

The Army & Navy Club has been situated in the centre of St James’s since 1837 and on the present site since 1851.  As a traditional establishment for former and serving officers of the British and Commonwealth Armed Services, as well as their immediate families, ‘The Rag’ as it is affectionately known, is perhaps the last full military club in London.   Following a rule change the Club has decided to offer a small number of membership places to friends of members who do not otherwise have a direct military connection.  The membership consists of approximately 6,000 and comprises both ladies and gentlemen. Reciprocal agreements exist with approximately 100 clubs of similar style and standing throughout the world.  Introductions to these clubs are available to Army & Navy Club members through our Membership Office.
