The RN Benevolent Society for Officers, incorporating The ARNO Charitable Trust

RNBSO is co-located with ARNO at 70, Porchester Terrace, Bayswater, London W2 3TP, and is the principal Naval Officers' charity. The ARNO Charitable Trust is a subsidiary charity and is also administered by the Secretary, Commander WK Ridley, Royal Navy.

Both charities provide financial support to both serving and retired officers, their spouses, former spouses and dependants who are in financial distress. Benevolence is available to all officers of the Naval Service (RN, RM and QARNNS) and their Reserves. In addition, help is given with school fees to maintain children in private education where an unexpected change in family circumstances would have precluded it.
